Are you an experienced primary school sports coach ready to take the next step in your career?
Do you have a passion for delivering outstanding PE and sports provision while developing coaches and creating exceptional experiences for children?
We are looking for an ambitious, energetic and highly motivated Lead Sports Coach to join our growing team and play a key role in driving high-quality sports provision across our partner primary schools.
This is more than just a coaching role. You’ll be a leader, mentor and role model—supporting coaches, improving delivery standards, strengthening school partnerships and helping us provide outstanding PE, school sport and physical activity experiences for thousands of children.

The Role
As our Lead Sports Coach, you’ll split your time between delivering high-quality sessions and supporting the wider coaching team to ensure excellence across all provision.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver Outstanding Sessions in School and on Camps
· Deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons and PPA cover within primary schools and holiday camps
· Lead exciting before and after-school sports clubs
· Deliver fun, high-energy sessions that inspire participation and confidence in all children
· Adapt delivery to suit different ages, abilities and school environments
Lead & Support Coaches
· Oversee the quality of coaching provision across schools
· Support, mentor and develop sports coaches through observations, feedback and ongoing guidance
· Help maintain consistently high coaching standards across all programmes
· Be a positive role model and lead by example in schools and sessions
Improve Provision in Schools
· Work closely with schools to enhance PE and sports delivery
· Identify opportunities to improve session quality, engagement and impact
· Support the planning and implementation of innovative school sport programmes
· Help ensure partner schools receive an exceptional service
Support Coach Development
· Help plan and lead coach CPD and training sessions
· Share best practice and support coach progression pathways
· Contribute ideas to improve coaching delivery and staff development across the business
What We’re Looking For
Essential
· Proven experience coaching in primary schools
· Experience delivering PE, PPA cover and extracurricular sports clubs
· Level 2 Coaching Qualification (or equivalent)
· Strong behaviour management and communication skills
· Passion for children’s development, physical and character, through sport and physical activity
· Experience supporting or mentoring other coaches
· Organised, proactive and confident taking ownership
· Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
· Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
· Christian Faith
